Swing Shift CNC Machinist I

Lafarge & Egge is seeking candidates with CNC experience and knowledge looking to take on a working role in a small shop as one of its main CNC Machinists. Additional duties include WIP Inspection, Blending/Deburring, and Assembly. This is a full-time position. Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced and motivated candidate looking to advance their career through effective CNC Machining and training of our employees. This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager of Lafarge & Egge for aspects such as managing the CNC Schedule. Candidates must be well-versed and willing to set-up and operate multiple machines. The machinist will operate various types of machine tools and perform progressive machining operations of parts, tools, and machines with close tolerances or high finish requirements.

Duties & Responsibilites
  • Set up and operate 3 and 4 axis CNC Mills per planning and blueprint tolerances
  • Experience running 4 axis Horizontal mills REQUIRED
  • Ability to set up CNC machines without supervision
  • Ability to machine parts out of various metals and materials
  • Read and interpret technical sketches and customer drawings with GD&T
  • Inspect parts thoroughly by accurately interpreting blueprints and using precision measuring tools
  • Make machine adjustments & minor programming changes as needed
  • Ability to inspect 1st parts in accordance with quality assurance standards
  • Ability to maintain all required dimensions using standard inspection equipment
  • Ability to Deburr parts
  • Ability to proficiently run manual mills, e.g. Bridgeport
Requirements
  • US Citizen
  • High School or GED required, machinist vocational school preferred
  • Minimum 3 years working with CNC machines
  • Able to multi-task and adjust to changes in the work environment
  • Work independently and possess excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to follow quality standards for ISO9001 and AS9100
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Must have an excellent attendance record
  • Must be detail-oriented, a team player and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be willing to work Swing Shift.
