Logistics Associate

Lafarge & Egge, our highly accomplished and accredited tubing division, is in search of an experienced Logistics Associate.

This is an entry level position that supports order fulfillment by completing shipping, receiving, marking, and storage of goods

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer skills.  Must be able to quickly learn to navigate ERP system and enter information with minimal errors.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, abilities, and experience:

  • 1 Year of Shipping & Receiving experience Minimum.
  • Manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Accountability to Quality System and Ethics of Company Policy are Required.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Communicative, Proactive, Humble, Autonomous, Self-Driven, Team-Player.
  • MS Office Proficient: Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Ability to operate ERP and various shipping vendor portals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Blueprint/Drawing Reading Aptitude a plus.
  • Strong Organizational Skills (Experience with 5S Methodology a plus).
  • Able to drive and operate a forklift and company truck.
  • Excellent Time Management.
  • Working mathematical skills, especially conversions and unit of measure (UM).
  • Successful candidate will be required to pass drug and background check.
Duties & Responsibilites
  • Daily Receiving and Shipping requirements
  • Ensuring cycle times and throughput of Shipping department meet goals
  • Supporting Materials Manger in Supply Chain coordination
  • Cross training and assisting in Part Marking and Inventory Control
  • Perform local delivery and pick-ups (good driving record required)
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
  • Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • This role supports order fulfillment by completing shipping, receiving, marking, and storage of goods.
  • Minimum one-year work experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Experience in Aerospace preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of typing, Windows, Microsoft Office, website navigation, and ERP

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to Shop/Industrial environment. The noise level in the work environment has potential to be 89.4 decibels, which requires OSHA approved ear protection. Frequently used PPE in this position is: Ear protection, dust masks, respirators, gloves, and safety glasses.
